Strawberries with Vanilla Whipped Cream
Ingredients
1 quart strawberries, stemmed and sliced in half
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup sugar (for whipped cream)
1 tbsp vanilla (for whipped cream)
Directions
Mix strawberries and 3/4 cup sugar and refrigerate for at least one hour and up to overnight. The longer the berries sit, the juicier it will become. Using and electric mixer,mix cream, sugar, and vanilla until it thickens. Don’t overmix, it will become butter!
